Submit a Voice

Call and leave a message with your thoughts, feelings, stories, or dreams.

Story Drive is focused on community storytelling. You don't need to be a performer, a writer, or an artist to participate. All you need is something to say or a moment to share.

Talk about anything. Dreams, memories, secrets, thoughts, feelings. Whether you're sharing a laugh, a personal truth, or a somber moment, your anonymous voicemail will be made into a video at some point in the future. No names required. Speak in any language.

How to Submit

Call & Leave a Voicemail

Call our dedicated voicemail line and speak freely. Say as much or as little as you'd like. No names required. Voicemails have a three-minute cut-off, but you're welcome to call back as many times as needed to finish your thought, feeling, or story.

Email a Recording

Record yourself on your phone or computer and send the audio file to us. Any format works.

Upload via Google Drive

For longer recordings or multiple files, share a Google Drive folder with us. We'll handle the rest.

Privacy & Anonymity

All submissions are anonymous by default. We never share your personal information without explicit consent. If your voicemail is selected for animation for any larger scale films, we will reach out to confirm your participation as these projects are produced with raised funds. You can withdraw at any time prior to the start of production on the film. For all entries (small screen and instillations included) it is understood that calling in is acknowledgement of publishing the audio/piece as permissible.

In true TAF fashion, me and @slymcooper talk about bugs. Links in bio! Marcelese Cooper is an artist and educator originally from Santa Clarita, California, and has practiced throughout the Midwest and the South for nearly a decade. Influenced by their experiences as a young, black, queer individual, Cooper explores themes of identity, community, and the black/brown narrative through mediums like animation, performance art, and experimental video. They blend the DNA of dreams, science-fiction, and surreal art-house cinema in their work. Learn more about their ongoing project @st0rydrive and go to the website to contribute!
